This is a tough one to answer and depends on how often your kids bath, how many kids you have, how much they like to mix and whether you are making mounds of bubbles or simply washing hair. We can tell you that our 10oz. gels have around 230 to 250 pumps of product per bottle. We will also say that customers tell us "a little goes a long way." Our ingredients are so pure and our gels so rich that you really do get a lot more effectiveness per pump when compared to our competitors. 

3-in-1 Gels and Whip

Coco-Glucoside:  A gentle surfactant made from 100% natural,certified RSPO (Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil) that has excellent dermatologicalproperties and also foams well. Therefore, we use it as a co-surfactant in cleansing preparations.  It is often used in baby washes because it isso mild.  Our coco-glucoside issustainably sourced and produced in Wisconsin, USA. (EWG=1)

SodiumLaurylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate: An extremely gentle surfactant that is 100% naturally derived fromsustainable coconut and corn and is 100% biodegradable. We selected this gentlecleanser because it is extremely mild (zero reported irritation!) and providesexceptional lather.  Made in Tennessee,USA. (EWG=1)

Sodium Methyl CocoylTaurate:  An extremely gentlesurfactant that is made from 100% natural RSPO (Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil)(EWG=1)

CocamidopropylHydroxysultaine:  A 100% naturalsurfactant derived from coconut fatty acids and made in the USA.  By using coconut fatty acids as a startingmaterial, an exceptional, stable, rich foam can be achieved.  (EWG=1)

Sodium Olivate:  Created by 100% natural sourced saponifiedolive oil, which is used as a surfactant. It also has an amazing velvety skin feel, since olive oil is so close tothe composition of human skin. (EWG=1)

Caprylhydroxamic Acid(and) Glyceryl Caprylate:  This blendis made from 100% vegetable sources in Pennsylvania, USA.  This combination of these two ingredientshelps to protect the formulation from developing bacteria, yeast or mold.  (EWG=1)

Gluconolactone (and)Sodium Benzoate:Naturally derived from Gluconic Acid, the combination ofGluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate offer broad spectrum microbial protection in theformulations.(EWG=1-3)

Fragrance:   We believe in transparency and use all natural, fully disclosed fragrance in all of our products.(EWG Not Rated)


Cherry on Top Conditioner

Water (Aqua): We don’t put the word Aqua down to make it sound fancier.  The FDA requires that Water be listed with(Aqua) in parenthesis. (EWG=1)

Cetearyl Alcohol: This is a fatty alcohol that helps build the basic structure forconditioners. This ingredient is used in a variety of personal care products, mainly skin lotions, hair products, and creams. It helps create smoother creams, thicker lotions, and more stable foam products.

It is very different than traditional "alcohols" and are often referred to as long-chain alcohols because of their chemical formula. Dabble & Dollop's Cetearyl Alcohol is USA produced. (EWG=1)

Behentrimonium Methosulfate:  An incredible conditioning agent for slip,especially for wispy or curly hair. It is an exceptional detangler. This is asafe, vegetable based ingredient derived from rapeseed oil.  It is biodegradable and safe for theenvironment, as well as the sensitive skin/scalps of children. USA produced.(EWG=4)

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Seed Oil) Jojoba delivers a nice, subtle softness to thehair. It helps coat the cuticle and protect. Sourced from the golden jojoba fields in Arizona. (EWG=1)

Caprylhydroxamic Acid: Caprylhydroxamic acid is anamino acid (organic compounds that are essential building blocks of life)derived from coconut oil. It functions to protect the product from bacterial intrusionand provides broad spectrum antimicrobial preservation. It is also non-disruptiveto hormones and is a Whole Foods Premium Body Care approved ingredient. USAproduced. (EWG=1)

Hydroxyethylcellulose: is a polysaccharide derivativewith gel thickening, emulsifying, bubble-forming, water-retaining andstabilizing properties. It is gentle enough to be found most frequently in eyedrops and artificial tears. USA Produced (EWG=1)

Cherry Fragrance: We use all-natural fragrances for our Dabble & Dollop 3-in-1 products, Cherry on Top Conditioner and our bath bombs. Our Dabble Ducky Infant line is fragrance free. (EWG Not Rated)

If your children are anything like ours, you know they love to mix stuff together. Slime, mud, and of course - bathing products. But mixing dad's Head & Shoulders with Mom's $100 conditioner & a dab of industrial strength Mr. Bubble sounds like a toxic cleanup waiting to happen. Believe me we saw it in our own home. 

We specifically created Dabble & Dollop scents to be mixed together and allow kids to play the way they want to play in the tub! By using our SmartScent™ ingredient, our formulas are nearly identical and complementary scent to scent, so whether you use strawberry alone, or mix it with vanilla, blueberry, lemon and honeydew (wait, what do you call that?) you can be sure that your little's "concoction" is going to be non-toxic, tear-free and safe! It's why we coined the term Creatively Clean!

Yes, absolutely! While we designed the products for children ages 2-12, they have been tested as safe for babies, older children, parents, and even grandparents! Dabble & Dollop products all underwent extensive testing to obtain a “tear-free” claim, meaning the products themselves do not cause any eye irritation. Keep in mind, a toddler may not enjoy getting product in their eyes, even if it doesn’t sting, so we do not recommend putting product in the eyes and this is stated on our bottles. We also had the product tested by dermatologists to ensure we could claim Dabble & Dollop is “hypoallergenic.”

Using our seven 3-in-1 gels and whip kids can make over 125 unique scent combinations! Just take a pump of say Lemon, mix it with two pumps of Vanilla for a Lemon Meringue bath. Take two pumps of strawberry, with two pumps of blueberry for a Berry Blast. Finish with two pumps of Cherry on Top Conditioner and your little will smell good enough to plop a scoop of vanilla on her head! Many of our kits come with a custom kid-sized silicone mixing bowl that allows them to use their fingers to blend the scents and textures together. Don't have a bowl? Just go ahead and mix in your hand, a plastic cup or on the back of that rubber ducky. The choice is yours. The combinations are nearly endless.  

No, we do not test our products on animals, and we have verified that each of our ingredients has not been tested on animals, either. In fact, in January of 2020 we received our formal Leaping Bunny Certification!

Our products are made in California, USA from 100% USA-sourced ingredients! Our bottles are also made in the USA and are recyclable in most major U.S. cities. Furthermore, our bottles are made from Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic so we’re doing all we can to make sure we’re keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum! While we strive to produce 100% of our products and source 100% of our components in the U.S., we do reserve the right to use globally sourced materials should domestic availability or supply chain issues dictate.

Dabble & Dollop uses all-naturally derived, plant-based ingredients as well as all- natural oils and all-natural, allergen-free fragrances. Our primary ingredients are sustainably-sourced and made in the USA. Our 3-in-1 products, Infant products and our Cherry on Top Conditioner are 100% dye free. Our all-natural bath bombs use natural colorants (clays, oxides, oils) to achieve their subtle fresh colors and of course use all-natural scents.

The joyful aromas of Dabble & Dollop are a critical part of the sensory experience for children. For example, it was important that our tangerine smelled like a tangerine was literally being peeled in front of you. Our strawberries, like you'd find in a summer field (and not a bag of candy). Our vanilla like freshly baked cake. Scent and memory are inextricably linked and we love that. But we also understand that synthetic fragrance in personal care products has come under an increasingly bright spotlight in recent years.

That is why we have worked diligently with some of the leading suppliers in the USA to select only all-natural fragrances for our products. Furthermore, we are taking it a step further extending our ingredient transparency by disclosing the compounds in our natural fragrances here on our site.

With all that said, we do understand that some children (and adults) have a hyper-sensitivity to fragrance and/or oils of any kind. If that is the case, we are sorry, but Dabble & Dollop may not be the best choice for your family.

Yes! And we worked really hard to make this so! We have made every effort to make our products as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. First, our formulations are cold-processed, meaning absolutely no heat is required to produce them. We only use what is absolutely necessary – and our 3-in-1 products utilize 10 ingredients or fewer. Our founder spent twenty years working in the personal care ingredients industry. She used that knowledge to select ingredients that were sustainably sourced and produced here in the USA. Our bottles are also made using PCR plastic (post-consumer recycled).

Yes, our products are vegan, gluten-free and nut free.

Yes. It was critical that we could ensure our products would not be irritating to skin or eyes, therefore, we engaged a third party laboratory to conduct safety testing comprised of a six week HRIPT (Human Repeated Insult Patch Testing) as well as eye sting test for the tear-free claim. We have been thrilled to hear from many customers that our products are the most gentle they have ever used - even more gentle than some of the "clinical" brands you find in big box retailers.Our 3-in-1 products and conditioners are dermatologist tested ultra-mild, ophthalmologist-tested Certified Tear-Free, Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free and feature all-natural fragrances free of known-allergens. This means that even the most sensitive skin can experience the joy of scent and come out of the water smelling as fresh and clean as a Spring morning. Read our reviews and see! If your child has a skin condition such as psoriasis or atopic dermatitis, we suggest you use extra caution when using Dabble & Dollop (or any cosmetic product, for that matter) as skin when compromised is more likely to become irritated.

Shipping, Delivery, and Refunds

We ship within the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, and to APO/FPO addresses. Please note: we can not be held responsible for lost or stolen items or deliveries. If we receive carrier confirmation of a drop off at your address we view this as a successful delivery. We do our best to chose safe, reliable shippers and subsidize shipping expense for all customers. But we can't control what happens once a package is delivered to your location and can't be held responsible to replace at our cost. We hope this makes sense!

Please note, order values for Free Shipping are based on total purchase price, net of discounts and prior to shipping. Once an order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information from our shipping provider in order to easily track your package. If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within a few days of placing your order, please check your “spam” folder.

If you believe your package is missing, we will start a trace with our carrier partner and take the required follow-up steps. This process takes approximately 2-3 business days. We cannot replace packages until they have been confirmed missing.

In addition to clean, great smelling, USA-made products, we think our shipping speed is one of our greatest differentiators. We do all our own fulfillment from Long Beach, CA and work extremely hard with our team to get orders out as quickly as possible. We all love getting our stuff quickly, right? Generally, orders placed before 11:00am Pacific go out same day! Orders placed thereafter generally ship the next day. Orders placed after 9:00am Pacific on Saturdays and orders placed on Sundays will process and ship Monday. All shipping begins at our Dabble & Dollop facilities in Southern California. ALL orders get a tracking number - and you will receive a tracking link for all orders and can monitor the order's progress. Should there be a delay for any reason, we will contact you. If you have not received your order confirmation or have a tracking number that is not reporting properly, please email us at or use the chat feature on our site.

If your package was damaged during shipment, save the box and merchandise and notify us immediately at We will speak with you directly and, if necessary, replace the damaged package.

If you find that a pump is not working, please take the following steps. 1. Ensure that the base of the pump is tightened down to the bottle as much as possible. 2. Remove the locking c-clamp safety collar from the pump. 3. Turn the top/nozzle of the pump 1/4 turn counterclockwise (the spout should now be facing you as you look at the bottle head-on). That solves 95% of the issues. If that does not work, please let us know ASAP and we will send a replacement pump.

All products ship from our facility in Southern California using USPS Priority Mail and/or UPS Ground as our standard service level. Shipping times vary based on your delivery location, and of course carriers can be affected by weather conditions, staffing, and holidays. Our customers generally receive their order 3-5 days from the time they are shipped! We are really proud of that. We will provide you with a tracking number for all orders that will allow you to see, in real-time, the progress of your shipment once in the hands of our carrier partner(s).

We've tried to pack as much information as possible in this website about us, our products, our ingredients, and our overall product ethos. Despite that, we know that buying from a company for the first time can take a leap of faith.

If you are uncertain about us, we now offer sample packets that you can purchase for $0.01 each + a minimal shipping charge (limit 7). Our samples are a great way to determine if you love our scents and textures and helps you be confident about what we are doing if you intend to come back and buy more!

If you do place a full order with us, we want you to be happy, but we know in some cases a certain product may just not smell right to you or just may not be the right fit!

In an effort to minimize the environmental impacts of an additional round of shipping, using more packaging materials, and wasting your time, rather than accepting returns, please send an email to (within 30 days of purchase) and we will refund you up to a maximum of $20 from your total purchase amount (inclusive of any shipping paid).

In addition to the environmental impacts of returns, in the spirit of safety, we simply cannot resell children's personal care products that have been in another customer's hands.
