As many of you may know, the United States Postal Service (USPS) is undergoing changes affecting its ability to deliver packages reliably. We are huge supporters of the USPS, and historically, they have been our primary choice for shipping. Furthermore, we stand with USPS workers, and believe they continue to provide a much needed service to American businesses and citizens.
We continue to see some improvements, However, over the last few weeks several of our customers have not received items, or have received items well after their expected delivery date. We have worked hard to make things right by re-sending orders and/or refunding purchases when we must.
In the face of the continued (and potentially worsening) degradation of USPS' service, we are moving selected deliveries to United Parcel Service (UPS) for the time being. UPS has, and continues to be, a reliable partner for us. But for most deliveries they are also more expensive.
We strive to keep shipping costs as reasonable as possible. Prior to this crisis, most Dabble & Dollop customers paid a flat rate of $4.99 for shipping and all orders over $50.00 shipped free. However given the cost increases we must bear, we have raised shipping costs to $5.99 for all orders up to $59.99, and free shipping now starts with orders $60.00 and above. Tub Club orders will continue to be shipped free.
We continue to monitor the situation and are exploring additional carriers that help us reduce costs and maintaining reliability. We hope the situation with the USPS is resolved soon - and when it is, we will continue to partner with them for our business.
